OUR STORY

Inside Out Therapy + Consulting was based on breaking out and becoming free from the constructs we’re placed in. We break free from our situations, trauma, the cycles, the way we've always done things, and say, “Hello!” to a refreshing perspective on how to be supported in your mental health. At Inside Out, we believe in designing and directing you own destiny while having the necessary support along the way. Trauma cannot not hold you back – only you can, so be prepared to join a journey for you to be your best self! Healing happens here!

“The world is like an invisible grand staircase – you just have to trust and believe the first step is there and worth taking.” – Christina Behrens

Arianna Saenz-Ochoa

Arianna Saenz-Ochoa

MA, LAC

EMDR, Trauma, Anxiety, Depression, Body Positivity, and Self-esteem

Arianna completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary and Special Education at Arizona State University. Due to her passion to service others, she continued her education by completing her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Grand Canyon University. Arianna has experience in the outpatient mental health field servicing a variety of populations in individual, group, and educational formats. She has worked with clients of various backgrounds and socioeconomic levels addressing mental health including those within the criminal legal system, state and federal government agencies, and victims of crime.  Arianna’s goal is to address not only the symptoms of her client’s issues but the root of their pain by reprocessing past memories primarily through EMDR and an integration of various therapeutic approaches. She believes that everyone has found ways to cope with and withstand their painful experiences. But some of those methods hurt us more than they help us in the end. Often, the very thing that has sheltered us through the pain could in time make it harder for us to have healthy relationships, positive experiences, and an empowered sense of self.  Being born and raised in Arizona, Arianna’s favorite way to handle the heat is with her iced coffee in hand. On her way to work, you’ll find her shuffling through her eclectic Spotify playlist that is equal parts Taylor Swift, The Killers, and Garth Brooks. On the weekend, she will decompress by rewatching her comfort TV shows, engaging in intuitive movement, and creating memories with her loved one’s over her family’s traditional Mexican dishes.

Children 3+, Trauma, Behavioral and Emotional Management, Anxiety, ADHD, + Parenting Concerns

Hi there! I’m Kayla Cummings, and I hold a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a focus on trauma from Grand Canyon University. My journey started at Arizona State University, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a secondary discipline in Human Development. From there, I dove into teaching special education and behavioral education for grades K-8. This experience gave me deep insights into working with children who face trauma, mental health challenges, and behavioral issues. As a trauma survivor myself, including the profound loss of a partner, I’m deeply passionate about helping both children and adults heal from their pasts and thrive in their lives. I’ve had the privilege of completing an internship at The Serin Neurohealth Center, where I trained in innovative therapeutic methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, and neurofeedback. Under the mentorship of skilled neuropsychologists and psychologists, I refined my ability to conduct therapy sessions tailored to the unique needs of children and adolescents with trauma. My approach is integrative, combining EMDR and play therapy with evidence-based techniques like CBT and DBT. I’ve not only led therapy sessions but also have experience administering psychological assessments, facilitating neurofeedback sessions, and developing personalized treatment plans using precise data to encourage client growth and healing.  I’m also dedicated to my own ongoing growth, actively participating in professional associations like the American Counseling Association (ACA) and the Arizona Counseling Association (AzCa). These memberships help me stay current with the latest advancements and connect with others in the field to bring the best options to my clients so that they can be the best version of themselves.  In my personal life, I have channeled my love of writing and literature into creating a children’s therapy book titled “Felix the Feelings Ferret’s EMDR Adventure: A Journey to Happy Memories” which I hope to publish soon. I am also a ferret enthusiast, having a strong affinity for these curious and playful creatures, I often dedicate time and effort to ensure their well-being and happiness. Beyond my passion for ferrets, I love immersing myself in nature. I particularly enjoy spelunking—exploring caves and hiking. I am also quite fond of reading, mostly fantasy and classic literature, as well as watching foreign animation. Currently, I am undertaking the task of learning to play the harp, so I can add that to my repertoire of hobbies.

Children, Trauma, Anxiety, Life Transitions, and Self-Esteem

Hi, I’m Kylie! If you are ready to start your therapy journey, then you’ve come to the right place, and I would be happy to help! Trying new things or meeting new people can be scary and nerve-wracking, but when you work with me, you can expect a safe environment where you can be your authentic self. Originally from North Dakota, I moved to Arizona in 2023. I graduated from North Dakota State University with my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2020, as well as graduating in May 2024 with a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am a Licensed Associate Counselor and work with a variety of ages ranging from young children up to older adults. Unrelated to counseling, I also have 7 years of childcare experience. I like to take a Person-Centered approach to therapy to allow my clients to focus on their desires and goals. I specialize in trauma, anxiety, life transitions, and self-esteem and have personally struggled with some of these issues myself. My goal as your counselor is to help you feel safe and empowered. In my free time, you’ll find me on the couch with a good book, cuddling with my two cats, Koko and Murphy. I love to travel and visit back home to North Dakota as often as I can (even if the temperature is below freezing). I believe a strong therapeutic relationship is crucial to one’s mental health journey, so if we seem like a good fit, feel free to request me. I look forward to working with you on your path to restoring your mental health!
